Streetgains Technologies hired me through a software development company I had an established relationship with. What started as a redesign project expanded into designing every customer-facing surface the company had — across two products, three audiences, and multiple ad channels.

Streetgains runs two distinct products serving opposite types of investors. Streetgains is for active traders who want real-time research calls — they pay only when a call succeeds (India’s first credits-based subscription model). Streetfolio is for long-term investors who want curated model portfolios aligned to a philosophy, not to market noise.

These are not similar products that share a user. They attract completely different people with completely different mental models of what investing means.

What I owned,

The founder provided product direction, content, and research. My job was to take that vision and make it credible, clear, and conversion-ready — across every surface a user or potential subscriber would ever see.

The founder named the portfolios — Arjuna Focus, Krishna Balance, Gita Harmony, Dividend Dharma. I decided how to visually represent them. The earthy illustration style, the warm colour palette, the manuscript-inspired typography — two rounds of revision before approval.

Key Design Decisions

Three decisions

Three decisions

I made.

I made.

1

Most important visual decision

The philosophy landing page needed to feel ancient — not like a fintech dashboard.

The founder introduced portfolio names inspired by Indian philosophy — Arjuna Focus, Krishna Balance, Gita Harmony, Dividend Dharma.

Most Indian fintech products lean heavily on dashboards and market aesthetics. My decision was to move in the opposite direction:

My decision was to break completely from the fintech visual language for this page. Earthy warm tones instead of blue-and-white. Botanical and manuscript illustrations instead of chart icons. Soft serif typography instead of clean sans-serif. The page needed to feel like an old book that happened to contain modern investment wisdom — not like an app that was trying to sound philosophical.

2

Ad landing pages

Each ad channel got a completely different visual theme — not just a resize.

The founder provided the content structure for the landing pages. My decision was how to differentiate them.

A user coming from an Instagram ad is scrolling between personal content — they need warmth and visual immediacy.

A user from a Google search has already decided they want something — they need clarity and credibility, not persuasion.

3

Streetfolio app — visual tone

Streetfolio had to feel calmer than Streetgains — same brand, opposite energy.

Streetgains is for active traders. It needs to feel fast, data-dense, alert-driven. The colours are saturated, the layout is information-forward, the calls to action are immediate.

Streetfolio is for long-term investors. They are not watching the market every hour. The design needed to feel stable, considered, and unhurried — like a wealth manager’s office rather than a trading floor. More white space, calmer typography weight, less data density per screen, a layout that rewards reading rather than scanning.
